Organ World on Genos?

Post by organaut » 04 Oct 2017, 20:29

Hi folks, when I watched Martin Harris demonstrating the organ drawbars of the Genos,
because the edit page was visible in the video, it wasn't clear whether the other organ models as well as the "vintage" are still available.
In other words, the home organ tabs and Euro organ, theatre and classical.
Does anybody know yet? :D

I can't help with this one until we get a little more information. I know Ensemble is still there but no mention yet of Organ World.

Thanks for your reply Eileen . I know you always do your best to help and I totally understand that you don't have a crystal ball.😀 I suppose I could try and speculate to answer my own question from the info we've had revealed to us so far in that Genos accepts our Tyros registrations. So I'm going to presume that if someone such as myself has some Klaus Euro bars registrations which have been made on T4/T5 , when we load them into a Genos then if it has Organ world the virtual drawbars will appear on the touch screen but if organ world has been scrapped in the format as we knew it on T5 then it will have been assigned to the legacy DSP archives and call them up from that section. On the Tyros tipsters video , one of the new Genos styles they showed has theatre organ backing which sounds like it's sharing the theatre organ world sounds but of course it could be linked to factory sample presets instead.

I would think Organ World is still there in some form. As soon as I know I will let you know. Also trying to find out about User Voices.

Hi Eileen

The voices from Organ World are in the Genos but there is not an Organ World section.
It all comes under the Organ button

So from what I see if you load in a T5 organ registration that used Organ World, it should have no problem reproducing it

All the best

Thank you Scenic. I suspected it works .something like this so if you want to make a new organ registration but want the Euro or warm home organ sound probably we call up the organ flutes and choose the appropriate DSP from a list. 🤔

Hi organaut

Not quite ;)
Actually much easier :D

If you want a Euro or Home organ sound, you pick the Organ Voice section and then choose the home or Euro Organ flutes preset
You can then modify as you see fit

All the best

Hi folks,

Scenic is right:
The Organ World is included in the organ voices.
You will see the drawbars by "Voice Edit" after chosing an organ voice which belongs to the Organ World.

You Tyros organ registrations work 1:1.

Kind regards, Heidrun

Thank you Scenic and Heidrun for clearing this up for me. Wasn’t sure.I downloaded the manual but the actual specifics are in the reference manual which isn’t available yet.👍👍 Does this mean that if we choose one of the home, theatre or classical voices then the tabs ,stops etc.rather than drawbars will also be displayed as was in organ world on Tyros for adjustment?

Unfortunately I couldn't try it. So we both have to wait a bit!
But I think they will present it as we are used to.
Because without drawbars and adjustment it would make not full sense.

Kind regards, Heidrun

Thank you again Heidrun for your reply. Yes what you say makes logical sense, especially where the theatre stops are concerned. :D

Hi
For home organ yes but the Theatre and church organ voices in organ world were complete rather than ‘stops’ so this will be listed as separate Voices within the Orgsn category from what I can gather ;)

All the best

Thank you again Scenic and Heidrun, This gives me a good idea of how to plan in advance how I am going to layout my new registrations before my Genos arrives. ;)
