Hi everyone, my name is Dick Crawford. I'll be retiring in a month and part of my retirement plans is to learn to play keyboard. I just ordered a Yamaha PSR-S770 which should show up around Dec. 2. I enjoy seeing and hearing projects others perform on their instuments. Right now I'm keen on learning music tips, things that helped you on your journey to being a musician. Hope to hear from some of you.

Hello Dick,
Welcome to the forum. You will enjoy your 770 when it comes. Any questions you may have please ask away and we will do our best to help you. If you have never played before it would be a good idea to try and get yourself a few lessons on the best way to play a keyboard
When I first started I was offered some group lessons which I took just to learn the basics of reading and playing Music. From then on I am self taught. Lots of practice is the word.
Hope you will enjoy being a member here.

Genos and S970.

Hi, my name is Jean-Louis and am from Quebec, Canada and i just joined the club 2 days ago, it seems we have things in common, i own a PSR-770 also since last april, when i retired 5 years ago my objective was also to learn the piano, so i bought an digital piano and started to take music lessons but i found out that i was more interested by a keyboard, so i bought a Yamaha keyboar the PSR-423 and played on it for about two years, the 423 was a good keyboard but never like the PSR-770, there are so many possibilities you can update and so many RGD, voices, styles, music with musicfinder, and expansion manager, i had the keyboard since april and haven’t learned everything it can do yet, so i think you will have a lot of fun with it.
