My name is Joe, I'm from Sheboygan, Wisconsin, USA. A few years ago I sold my Technics KN7000 and bought a used Tyros 1. That was the best move I ever made and I've never looked back. I play it nearly every day, sometimes twice and often in the middle of the night with headphones when I'm most inspired. I love the sophistication and upgrades of the T1. I'm hooked on Yamaha!! Now I'm looking forward to selling T1 so I can buy a PSR-S970. Thank you for including me in your group and I look forward to learning from all of you and perhaps some day contributing information or music.

Hello Joe and welcome to my forum. As you can see we are all Yamaha fans here. I have Tyros 5 and the 970. Both great keyboards.
If we can help in any way please ask and I look forward to hearing some music from you when you are ready.

Hi Joe,
Get yourself a free Box account if you have not got one already. Just upload your MP3 to it and then post the link it gives you onto the forum. You will see most members do this.

Eileen, thank you for your help. I will need to have my son figure this out with me. I don't know what a box account is and I don't have an MP3. See why I need help? lol
My T1 has a floppy. I thought I would save the recording to the floppy, then to my laptop, then somehow upload to the forum. Your way sounds less complicated. Thank you, Joe

You will need to convert your midi file into a WAV file. I can do this for you on my Tyros 5. Once it is a wav file then I can convert to MP3 for you through another free programme called Audacity.

Hi Joe,
Strongly recommend you look for a used T5. You will not be disappointed. I really like my T5 and have had it since it came out. The sound is amazing and much advanced over the original Tyros. I have owned them all and the T5-76 is awesome. May be able to find a good deal used as the new Genos is just coming out.
Regards,
Graeme

Thank you Graeme, the T5 used, was my first choice also, but the S970 fit my pocket book better. Thank you, Joe
