Unsble to get emoticons

Post by apollo » 22 Feb 2014, 15:38

Hi everyone
I have a problem getting my emoticons into my emails, this has only just started,I use BT mail.
The group of emoticons appear on the right of the page as usual, but when I click any of them they do not show in the body of the email,I was wondering if somehow something has been turned off during a windows update.
Anyone had a similar problem?
Regards
Daryl

Hi Daryl
I have noticed that if I select an emoticon to use in a message it is displayed in my original message as a line of code, but when the message is displayed on this forum the emoticon is displayed as intended.I use a Samsung android tablet, is anything displayed in your message after you have selected an emoticon?

Regards Alan :ugeek:

Hi Alan
No, all I get is a flashing cursor in the body of the message and nothing else. :?
Now you can see that the emoticon is displayed in this post, yet in the body of my emails it just wont display,I am wondering if it is my email program that's at fault, may be a call to BT.
Thank you for your reply
Kind regards
Daryl
