Try transposing it up an octave or find a key that is comfortable for you.

Thank you for your reply .I have already transposed to a suitable key (c.major) but when I print, nearly all the notes are under the bottom line.the lowest being E under the Stave.I was hoping to print the music an octave higher
Hope you can help, Regards George..

Hi George

As they say it's easy when you know how. I did not know the answer at first but having had a play it is easy.

Load the song that you want to change.
Select the first note.
Right click and select Stave Properties.
At the very bottom of the pop up box you can select to increase or decrease the octave by what ever number you want. Then select Apply.

It is a useful feature so thanks for asking. I would not have bothered otherwise

Thank you Fred, Do you mean load the music into Musescore then right click the first note? I have been doing this but I cannot see the stave properties icon.

Hi George

Left click on the first note first. Then right click.

Hi George.
Along the top of the page select EDIT. Then select ALL. Select NOTES and then TRANSPOSE. Now select what you want.
It appears you can only load songs in that are MSC2 files. You can then save them as PDF and print then out.

Hi george

I have finally figured out why you are having difficulty in repeating what I have suggested.

I think the version of Musescore that you have is 1.3 while mine is version 2.
You can download the latest version for free or you can send me (via the PM) the songs that you want to change the Octave and I will do the conversion for you. I will be out most of the afternoon but will convert them this evening if you want.
