Skype

Post by PeterP » 16 Nov 2012, 16:50

I am thinking of joining Skype and would like to know if any other members use it.

Also if it still free and fairly is easy to set up, I do have a suitable camera.

Thank you.

Peter

I use Skype.`The download is free, as is the video.
I don't use the phone side of it, but the video side is very useful, especially to be able to have face to face contact with my family and friends in Australia,NZ and USA, as well as in the UK, free of charge.

Peter, As well as the camera you will need a mic if it is not inbuilt into the camera.

It is a brilliant "free" service that has many uses, and is easy to set up and configure.

Download and install it, and should you have any problems, ask here.

Hi Pete,
You only have to pay if you want other services like Group conferences. One to one is perfectly free. I am on skpe and I don,t pay a penny.
