New Music

Post by TubaTed » 14 Apr 2014, 16:09

From time to time, members post music they have written and played for us.
The theme for the next meeting of our Organ and Keyboard Society is for any modern piece, that is, composed in the last five years. Rather than searching for pieces on You Tube, etc and then trying to see if the written music translates readily to organ/keyboard, it occurred to me that members of this website may have composed pieces that no-one else at our Society will have seen or heard!! Also, the lead sheet may be easier to come by.
How can I find such new pieces here? Would the composers mind if I aired their music at one of our musical evenings, as a change from the usual run-of-the-mill stuff?
Regards

Thank you very much Eileen. Do you have an mp3 of your piece so I can hear you play it in the style you had in mind when composing it.
I'm sure it will fit the bill.

Thank you for the mp3. Interesting voicing and I'm sure I shall enjoy playing about with the piece to see which of the hundreds of styles, yours included, that might fit.
