Off To Surgery Again!

Post by Deane » 31 Mar 2016, 18:18

Darn,
I have a torn Rotator Cuff and have to have surgery to fix it. Has been hurting me since December and never got better - worse in fact. Doctors will do the surgery on April 12th. Oh well, you what they say about growing old - not for sissies.

Thanks Everyone,
I have my appointment with the doctor on April 8th - then the April 12th surgery date. I'll keep everyone updated. Funny how things develop in our lives. 6 months ago I had a major blood test done that only 2 labs in the country do. It shows just about every marker and indicator for about every condition or disease you can think of. When it came back the doctor was shocked. He told me Chemically I was in the very top 1 percent of the healthy people he has ever seen! I take no medications - have seldom been sick and generally always feel great. Good news you would think. Unfortunately, the chemical side of our health has nothing to do with our structural side - thinks like spine problems or skeletal issues. My wife jokingly tells people my warranty has expired. Anyway, life goes on and we always find a way to deal with whatever faces us.

Hi Deane

Sorry to hear you're back with the doctors again. I know from personal experience the troubles that old age can bring but what you have to remember is - it's considerably better than the alternative!!

Best of luck on the 12th - we'll be thinking about you.

Best Regards

Vic.

Usually on this day I would be heading to the airport to fly to Heathrow and join everyone at the events. But today I am heading to the hospital to have my shoulder surgery done. I'll be away from the forum for a while. Hope everyone has a safe journey to and from Skegness.
